Topic: Book Study and Anti-Racism Discussion
It’s a scary topic and this gathering of faithful followers of Jesus is a safe place to bring your questions, raise doubts, be honest and be loved.
“Baptized in Tear Gas” (Elle Dowd) and “I’m Still Here” (Austin Channing Brown)
Two autobiographies. Two women. One Black, One White. They share their experiences with racism and their journey toward anti-racism. We will try to compare and contrast the lived experiences of these two exceptional writers.
Elle Dowd is an ELCA pastor. Austin Channing Brown is a racial justice activist.
The books are available for purchase wherever you purchase books. Pastor Dowd’s book just hit the markets in August.
Every Thursday, 7pm, Doors “open at 6:30pm.
